You are speaking to the founder of the “Kill Archer, Promote Trip” club.
Does one of these have the Commander from “The Enterprise Incident” as protagonist?
Having Manny Coto in charge should really reinvigorate the franchise. Bergama was running it into the star dust with their preachyness (annoying in the 60s, kill my lan’lord now) and stupid time travel / BFRB ideas.
Manny will bring back action and should make some major developement in supporting characters. One thing I really enjoy about him is he isn’t into the “recreate the Kirk/Spock/McCoy interaction” that nobody else after Gene and DC could do well. Manny is a modern Trekker.
From the little bit I’ve been able to pick up (damn little, btw!), it isn’t gonna happen. Not as a Trek anyways. No cite, just my impression from what I’ve seen/heard.
One thing that bugs me, tho. Nobody (online) is even hinting at what the idea was! Arg!
Maybe but I’m not sure. I think “Web of the Romulans” does though but don’t quote me on it… I’ve read most of the Trek novels and a lot of them tend to blend in after a while.

We need one more movie. This is where the Organians must recruit a reluctant Wesley Crusher, along with some Star Fleet Academy middies in a bid to save the universe from the Moriarity lifeform which has acquired mobility and power even beyond Q levels.
As I said “Fun I am sure, but hardly the place he thought he would end up.”, many of these people did very limited runs. JMS had big plans post B5, and really- after the somewhat shaky 5th season of B5 and the two busts of the follow-up series he hasn’t done much other then penning comics.
Comics have reached a greater acceptance lately then any time in the past entertainment industry-wise (thanks to the Spiderman, X-men, Hulk pictures), so its not bad, but to go from were he was to were he is now must be humbling. Still the thought of him replacing Braga is heartwarming.
But I heard they cut the Enterprise budget for next year along with the move to scheduling wasteland, so they may not be looking to spend any money on the series.
Okay, I’m not much of a Trekkie, but I think I’m following you here.
The Voyager gets back from the Delta quadrant with the technology which allowed the Doctor to roam freely. Picard hears about this and, being the man of his word that he is, reopens the holodeck program from season 2 of TNG in which Geordi asked the computer to create a Sherlock Holmes type character capable of defeating Data. Moriarty comes out and is given a similar device to the Doctor’s. Because he was created super-duper smart, and because he is evil, he does something which will destroy all of space-time. Of course, only the crews of the Enterprise-E and the Titan can save the day.
I think I could enjoy that.
Her mother, as the commander of a Bird of Prey.
And then, Picard turns to Beverly Crusher and says, “Today is Sunday. I think I’ll go for a drive,” and they hug in a tear-choked goodbye. Then Picard takes the Captain’s Yacht out to the rim of the galaxy and meets Q, who says “Did you think we had forgotten you?” A later expedition to the galactic rim found the Captain’s Yacht, but they never found Picard. All the airlocks were sealed but there was
no trace of him inside. As for Beverly Crusher, every morning for as long as she lived, she got up before dawn and watched the sun come up.
Her Mother? Her Mother?
“Be sure and take your mad money to the movie so that you may pay the Blood Debt should you be required to kill the usher.”
Whose house?
Run’s house!
Say what?!
I’d LOVE it if they did a show on just the 'Time continum police" Where in the charaters of the show drive themselve crazy trying to go back and fix all the shit Captain Picard, Janeway, Sisko, Archer and even Captian Kirk fucked up.
Ironically, sort of like a Quantum Leap meets Star Trek kind of thing.
“Oh, boy…”
Guess I should clarify I was totaly being sarcastic.
None needed, really. And welcome to Trek Doping!
You see, we call Bacula’s character (Captain Jonathon Archer) Quantum. Oh the irony…
:: tears well from my eyes ::
…but I’m not sure if its from laughter or sadness!!!
jezzzu, put the damned universe to sleep, how much drivel on the same 7 plotlines can we be expected to watch?
What we really need is another set of episodic series like outer limits using the new crop of spec fic writers short stories as scripts/scripting ideas. Heck, I’d even watch it if they used classic SF writers from the 40s - 80s IF they refused to use Asimov, Heinlein, Norton and anybody else who has been overused=\
How about James H Schmitz, Charles Scheffield, Gorden R Dickson [how about them Hokas!], Jack L Chalker, Tom Godwin, Fred Saberhagen, Murray Leinster, Larry Niven, Randall Garrett… <can anybody tell I like speculative fiction…>
