I’m surprised she was not hurt worse. Watch the whole video.
That’s gotta hurt.
It’s really surprising that they don’t have blast fences on that runway.
So if I’m seeing this right, this is some kind of a game where you hold onto the fence and when the jet ramps up its engines for takeoff you let go of the fence, turn and run the other way while allowing the jet blast to push you faster than you can normally run?
Stupid. It might be cool to experience jet blast that close, but I wouldn’t be letting go of that fence.
God, but I love stupid people.
Been there, done that. Princess Juliana Airport in St Martin. She screwed up. You either hang tight to the fence, or stay on the beach.
Actually, the big French planes can lift you off your feet if you hang onto the fence and are slim.
Read that as “blast feces.” Maybe I need another cup of coffee.
I saw a woman running on the beach in a thong. Was there more to it?
Well, she’d been wearing a business suit before the jet engines revved up!
I think we know who’s getting the next Web Redemption on Tosh.0…
That would be pretty cool…if you were wearing a decent set of gloves to cling onto the fence with.

All right, this made me giggle like a loon.
I don’t have the volume on my laptop on because I’m surrounded by cranky people. How badly was she hurt? I’ll bet you two nickels that she never does anything like that again. On purpose, at least.
The only audio is jet engines blaring
This takeoff shows how short the runway is
The best part of that video is at about 0:44.
+1.
About 50 yards down the beach is the Sunset Beachbar, where topless women drink free and daily takeoffs/landings of large planes are listed on a chalkboard. Good times!
OW!!!
That video makes me cringe in so many ways. First, the girl who whacks her head on the cement barricade, then the people on the beach being sandblasted by all the sand blown up by the jet, then just the noise of the engines spooling up. I’m guessing that alcohol was involved…
