What novels published since the turn of the century will become classics?

Chris Ware’s Rusty Brown, still in the process of being serialized in his own Acme Novelty Library series, will come to be regarded as one of the major classics of the comics medium, toppling Maus and Watchmen.

Yes, I love Chris Ware. I remember reading him in the Chicago Reader. I had no idea what was going on, but I loved it! I now own the paperback of Jimmy Corrigan: The Smartest Kid on Earth, and I heartily recommend it.

I’ll go with The Road as well. Would also throw in Birdsong by Sebastien Faulkes and Saturday by Ian McEwan. Don’t know why something so ordinary should work so well.
