I lost five pounds in five days, without diet or exercise!
How, do you ask?
Why, by developing a debilitatingly painful five-day migraine! It really is that easy!
… Okay, so, here’s the deal… Let me preface this by saying that I am a) an otherwise healthy 25 year old female, b) prone to migraines as it is, c) exposed to large quantities of cyanide, mercury, hexavalent chromium, sulfide, and various volatile and semivolatile chemicals on a daily basis, d) have environmental allergies, but e) usually not yet. Oh, and no insurance at the moment.
Last Wednesday, I came home from work with a migraine (with all of the usual accoutrements, photophobia, Alice in Wonderland Syndrome, nausea, etc). No big deal. It sucked, but I’ve been getting them since I was a kid. Unfortunately, it lasted until Saturday, when it seemed to turn into a bitchin’ sinus headache-from-hell. Today, I’ve got a (slightish) cough, sinus pressure and congestion, and vertigo to the extent that I haven’t really been able to eat since Wednesday, either. I went to the Doc for a sinus infection a few weeks ago and they gave me erythromycin, which is one of the very few antibiotics I wasn’t yet allergic to. It didn’t wipe out the sinus issues (apparently), but it did give my skin a lovely all-over bumpy magenta pattern. So, yeah.
Can this dizziness possibly be because of the sinusitis? I’d like to try a sinus washing kit, like a neti pot. Does anyone here have any experience with them? Do they help? What do I do with it? It looks like rubbing it makes genies come out.
