What ONE name comes immediately to mind when you hear "1930's"?

Adolf?

…as a mild-mannered reporter for a major metropolitan newspaper…

Charles Lindbergh, for both the crossing and the kidnapping.

Mom. Because that’s when she was born.

Mae West. Why it wasn’t FDR, I do not know.

Woody Guthrie

FDR

Hitler

FDR

Roosevelt

His picture was one of only three in my grandparents’ home that weren’t of family. The other two were the Virgin Mary and JFK.

Dizzy Dean

Errol Flynn.

Hitler. He was the dominant force in the world by many magnitudes over anyone else in the 30’s.

Now if question was who made a positive difference I’d say Winston Churchill, the person most responsible for stopping Hitler. I can’t imagine what the world would be like if not for him.

FDR.

No idea why but when I read the thread title the first name I thought of was Al Jolson. I know next to nothing about him but… Shrug.

Charles Lindbergh was the first name that popped into my head. I have read a lot about him but it all relates to the kidnapping and his political affairs not his aviation exploits in the 1920s.

Prime Minister Mackenzie King of Canada.

Herbert Hoover. Maybe not the best name, maybe not even accurate, but it was the first name to pop into my mind.

Billie Holiday

William Powell (as Nick Charles)
