This thread may actually help me identify two movies I remember as a kid but no one else seems to know about:
–Space themed movie from the 1960’s about a joint US-Soviet moon mission. The scene I remember involved the Soviet cosmonaut’s tether breaking and him floating helplessly into deep space.
–Movie (probably from the 70’s) that was a parody of the 1940’s movie going experience. The only scene I remember is an usher interrupting the film to admonish moviegoers “No Necking!”.
I believe this was called Marooned.
Thank you! I had this vague feeling as I typed my scene that I would get some of the world famous Doper help. Since I don’t have ready access to the episode in question, I’ll make a point of trying to run it down. Thanks again.
I’m not sure if this is the movie you’re thinking of (because I don’t recall such a scene with an usher), but a 1970s movie that was a parody of 1940s movie-going was Movie Movie, directed by Stanley Donen and co-written by Larry Gelbart, with George C. Scott starring in both parts. The titular movies are a boxing flick and a musical.
IIRC, that scene is in the third one (The Last Crusade ?), the one with Sean Connery.
