I thought, like other posters, that it was Riverworld but whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.
As long as they stick to the first three novels, they should be fine. We don’t need to find out The Color of Her Panties.

I think you’re misremembering through the fog of memory (as I did). When I first heard this news, I went back and re-read… It’s OMFG awful from the first book, with Bink’s participation in the rape trial, Chameleon’s portrayal in general, and Trent who’s actually fairly awful.
… maybe we’ll get another Riverworld miniseries, instead.
