Mrs. Mercotan and I will be in Palm Springs (or Desert or something) for 9 days, in early August. Any things to be sure not to miss? We’ve been up the cable car into the mountains, and to Joshua Tree, and are thinking of doing those things again. Any other tips?
Don’t miss the Desert Oasis in Indian Canyon. It’s the most beautiful place in all of Palm Springs. It’s on the outskirts of town and it looks like any regular desert valley, but once your inside you drive for a bit and walk down into the valley, all of a sudden your inside an oasis of Palm Trees and springs that goes on for 15 or more miles. You can hike around or just take a picnic lunch, but no kidding, it’s beautiful!.

There is no IN-n-Out Burger Between Indio and San Bernadino, so plan accordingly.
