Amen, bro. These folks don’t even regard as “real Americans” folks that don’t agree with them 100%.
A big deal here in the Twin Cities where we have a scared Muslim immigrant population. It is important that they feel safe and welcome. But its important for us as well as them. It doesn’t take much to send a young man off the deep end - whether they are white and Christian (Dylan Roof, Timothy McVeigh - and tons of others) or brown and Muslim - in a country where guns are everywhere and building a bomb is as easy as an internet search.
Our Somali immigrants are here legally. Many of them ARE CITIZENS. They’ve been coming her as refugees since the mid-1990s, that means that many of the young adults from that community were born here. They NEED to feel safe here - for their safety and ours.
And honestly, they’ve been great neighbors. I live really close to a large Somali population. In our neighborhood, there isn’t a lot of Somali caused crime. Muslims don’t tend to be big drinkers and don’t tend to do a lot of drugs - so the crime fueled by those activities is minimal in a heavy Somali community. They have a strong community, that enforces strong morality in its members. There isn’t a lot of theft or violence. It isn’t perfect, but they do as good a job raising their kids to be law abiding citizens as my majority white middle class neighbors.
We’ve had a few instanced of radicalized youths leaving (or trying to leave) to go fight for ISIS. That happens when young men are hopeless and bored - and oppressed. When they don’t feel like this country is their country.
Seriously. I think all the hoopla the Republicans were spouting against Clinton was just a cover. They voted in Trump because they’ll never forgive the Democratic party for getting a Black man elected president. The knew Trump is not the man for the job, but at least he’s not Black and not part of that (you know)-loving party. :smack:
Many of the same people who voted Obama into office are the same people that switched sides and voted Trump into office. This happened in hundreds of counties across the USA in many states. They carried Trump to his glorious victory and they ensured the devastating and humiliating defeat of Hillary Clinton, something which the left is still crying about to this day, and something that they will no doubt cry about until their last breathing days on this planet.
Did all of these 2 time Obama voters just suddenly wake up one day and purchase KKK hoods where they become racists overnight?
I also believe that your absurd racism conspiracy theory had a big part to do with why Hillary lost, because that tactic simply does not work anymore, even though the entire MSM and the Democrats used that card. It has been proven to be most ineffective, and the majority of Americans (enough to win elections) brush off any such slander coming from the left and the MSM and the Democrats.
People are tired of liberal racism and it will be crushed, just like the racism of the Democrats was crushed in the civil rights era, and these liberals should rightfully be discriminated against, until they learn how to behave in a civilized manner.
MAP: The Obama voters who helped Trump win
There are nearly 700 U.S. counties that voted for President Obama in 2008 and 2012. A surprising number of them went for Donald Trump in 2016.
The cite you provide shows that there are many counties that switched sides. It actually doesn’t prove (or try to prove) how many actual voters switched sides.

[li]In an example county in 2012, Suzy shows up to vote because she is a supporter of Obama. [/li][li] In 2016, Suzy doesn’t show up because she (insert reason here: wasn’t as motivated by Hillary, had to work that day, whatever).[/li][li]In 2012, Bill doesn’t show up to vote. He freaking hates Obama, but he can’t vote for Romney because of magic underwear or something.[/li][li]In 2016, Hells Yeah, Bill shows up to vote MAGA. [/li]
No actual voter changed their allegiance, but different levels of personal motivation changed “a” vote.
Were there some individuals who voted for Barack who then subsequently voted for Trump in 2016? Sure, there were a few/some/no idea how many. But, and I don’t know any way to prove this, I feel confident Trump won by WHO SHOWED UP TO VOTE, I don’t think he won because many individuals CHANGED FROM BLUE TO RED.

Translation - Straight white people are tired of being asked to not act like jerks to blacks, gays, transgenders, non Christians, foreigners, mentally disabled, pretty much anyone who looks or acts different.
Some are now beginning to capitulate already. Those that don’t will get what they deserve.
*MIAMI — The Miami-Dade County Commission rejected emotional pleas from residents Friday and voted to become the first county in the nation to drop its “sanctuary” status by agreeing to fully cooperate with federal immigration officials.
The commission voted 9-3 to adopt the resolution, citing worries about President Trump’s threat to withhold federal funding from communities that refuse to cooperate with federal agents seeking to deport undocumented immigrants.*
If I’m reading this article correctly, Blinky, the sum total of the change is that the county jail will now accept 48-hour hold requests from ICE. Is there more to it than that?
