To be fair I don’t see myself working there more than a year, but I don’t have much options as I’ve had a few interviews that went nowhere.
Someone isn’t reasonable at your current job and, based on your description, it definitely sounds like your manager, however, think about what Stranger says as well if you can “step outside yourself” and look at your own behaviour objectively.
No I understand that, I think in this case there’s multiple factors at play, they’re all in their 20s and I’m not, they’ve known each other and hang outside of work with each other, plus I’m quite introverted by nature and I got this job on the tail end of the pandemic, so I think that didn’t help my social skills too much in relation to this.
So I have to wonder if there is any real-world justification for the OP being under a PIP, beyond “my manager doesn’t like me” which is what every person facing bad performance reviews or other such circumstances says.
No I’ll freely admit I have not been performing my best at work, it’s just that my issues seem to always be singled out in comparison to my other colleagues who have similar issues who are given the benefit of the doubt because they’re on better terms with my boss, so I’m using that benchmark.
