I did the Netflix thing for my parents, who are in their 60s, last Christmas. They love it. It took them until around April I think to get over their technophobias and to actually get a list of movies together (I think that was really the hardest part and is an ongoing problem - what movies do we want to see??) but once they got started, they really enjoyed it.
Yeah, my 60 year-old dad was cute, “Do you think they’ll have 'Monsters, Inc?”. Yes, Dad, I’m quite sure they’ll have it.
I’m thankful for the way Netflix recommends some other movies once you’ve browsed, that helped my mom out b/c she can’t always remember what movies or books are titled. Seriously, the only one they wanted that Netflix didn’t have was ‘Yentl’. My folks live over an hour by freeway away from the closest movie theatre.
I can’t believe Netflix doesn’t have “Yentl”.
Get her a puppy.

Get her a razor so she can shave her back.
Back off a bit, please, Trunk. This post is not appropriate for this thread.
All great ideas (well except for the last one). Thank you all.
How about Alternative Gifts . I think buying a cow or sheep or chickens for some impoverished family somewhere for sustainable agriculture is a rockingly cool gift.
