:smack:
I suck at international currency. Thanks.
Elf away?
Cuddle Duds sound great–I’m in Chicago, too–I will have to look into them for my occasional downtown commutes (those Metra train platforms are cold!). I don’t think I’ll need longjohns in Iceland. It’s about 45 or so there and I’ll be walking.
Try to bring a new economy. I hear their old one is shot.
I’d prefer an elf magnet. Something along the lines of Legolas would do me just fine.
Im going up there in the end of July and will only need my hiking boots, and a pair of shorts for all the wallowing in the hot springs.
A simple first aide kit with bandaids, tylenol/motrin, antibiotic ointment, pepcid, etc.
A sewing kit with thread, needles, safety pins, etc.
Yeah, you can dream can’t ya.
I’ve visited Iceland several times. (I live in the US).
The list above (except for the Elf-away) is good.
The only think I can remember regretting was an unbelted trenchcoat. I thought a rainproof coat with a zip-out lining would be perfect. I forgot about the mighty winds that blow! That damned coat flapped and flapped and sometimes made it hard to walk. Next trip, I took a hip covering jacket that fit somewhat snugly around my bottom. No flapping fabric and a warm tush!
Knitting needles!!
I am completely envious of you going and I hope you have a marvelous time there!
Make sure you take plenty of ice, contrary to the name, they have no ice there.
