What should I wear under my swim trunks? Need answer kind of fast

Yeah, I’ve got several pairs of these. They’re pretty much nylon shorts with no mesh, a zipper, and a interior cord that can be tightened to hold them up. They’ve got regular pockets and can be worn like a normal pair of shorts. They are really great for sailing, kayaking and shit like that. They dry really quickly. After you’re back on land, you can go to the bar or whatever and they look pretty normal.

I ended up buying 2 pairs of meshless board shorts and 2 pairs of compression shorts for underneath. Total cost: $80, but will probably last a few summers. I realized that I’m also not comfortable with the boys swinging about freely, which could also lead to unintended fabric friction. I’ll report back on how things are as I’m about to hit the beach in a couple of hours.

I’ve used those before; they don’t work well for me - I sweat so much that they slide right off. Greasy lubes like Aquafor or Squirrel Nut Butter are messy, yes, but at the end of a long run my shirt’s a dripping mess that goes right in the laundry, anyway.

Nice name/post combo.

We haven’t heard back – I hope this doesn’t mean Bad Things Happened.

Not all all. It worked out great, although the combined drying of the Nike compression shorts and the board shorts takes quite a bit longer than a normal swimsuit. Things were certainly quite a bit “tighter” than before, but that’s a small price to pay versus the stinging of the mesh-burn. Also, the board shorts were more form-fitting, so they made me look better on the beach as well. Thanks for all the help, and the combination will be my standard beach attire going forward.
