What should Tiger do?

I don’t know about large sums, but Spieth has to do a little more to prove he has staying power and isn’t a Johnny Miller, or David Duvall. Sure, he looks awfully good now, but he’s awfully young. Several guys have put together a couple of good years and then receded to journeyman status. Think how much promise guys like Dufner and Bradley looked like they had just a couple years ago.

Not taking anything away from the guy - just saying it will take a little longer for him to prove that he is GREAT, rather than just really really good!

Tell me about it. When Justin Leonard, another UT alum, won his first British Open, there were a lot of stories about the great rivalry Leonard and Tiger would have for years to come. Well… Tiger showed up for the rivalry, but Justin (who’s had a respectable pro career but not a great one) hasn’t.

I think it would be great if Spieth and Rory McIlroy had a long, classic rivalry. But how can you ever tell? Mark O’Meara won two majors one year, but that didn’t mean he had great things ahead.

Little unfair comparing Spieth with Duval. Duval was 31 when he one his first major. Spieth has two before his 22nd birthday.
