What should we see in California?

Another great place for nature lovers is Point Lobos State Natural Reserve. It’s just south of Monterey, and its beauty is outstanding. Landscape painter Francis McComas called it “the greatest meeting of land and water in the world.” A friend whom I took there said, “Everything here looks like a Sierra Club calendar.” It’s a good place to see otters in the wild, especially if you bring binoculars. It’s a nature preserve, which means no camping is allowed, but that shouldn’t be a problem if you plan ahead.

It was years ago ('07 or '08?) and sadly I think they were in the process of changing owners who were gonna redo it. Lemme do some digging tho…

This looks like it now…

What happens in La Jolla (San Diego) stays in La Jolla…

Re: The La Jolla sea caves that I highly recommend.

Had lunch at The Whole Enchilada yesterday, and the Sea Otter is still there, right across the street.

Thanks. That seems like so much less fun. I really wanted some Flight of Icarus buffalo wings.
