I suggest sticking with Cougar Town. It’s from the same people as Scrubs and once the storylines settle down, it’s a pleasant “hang out” comedy.
Thanks for the rec! My wife and I did a Scrubs binge of the whole series like a year ago and enjoyed it a lot. I didn’t think Cougar Town would be a show I or my wife would like, but I didn’t know it was from the makers of Scrubs. I guess if it’s good enough for Abed, it should be good enough for me
Anybody watching the new Netflix series ‘Inventing Anna’? I really like Julia Garner’s work on ‘Ozark’, but my wife and I watched the first ep of IA and it didn’t really seem to grab us.
Admittedly, the early episodes of Cougar Town match the title, in that Courtney Cox’s character is dating younger men, but they drift from that fairly soon (and the title screen even comments on how inaccurate the title becomes).
My wife and I are watching it. I like it well enough, but I think I liked the original magazine article better; I don’t care very much about the characters’ home lives, for instance.
Come to think of it, I think I liked the original magazine article better for the movie Hustlers as well.
