What song is this? (wooo woooo wooo woooooo)

There is a song that’s been playing on the radio that I’ve been trying to find on iTunes, but I don’t know the title, or the lyrics.

It has a very distinctive beginning, though. For several seconds, someone is singing “Woooo! Woooo! Wooooo!”, in short bursts like that, like an owl hooting or something.

Anyone know what the hell I’m talking about?

“What’s Up, Pussycat?” by Tom Jones???

Wild guess…Is it the Black Horse and Cherry Tree song by KT Tunstall. I enjoy her music, plus she has that “woo woooo” thing at the beginning and throughout the song…

*Sympathy For The Devil * by the Rolling Stones?

Wow, I think that’s it! Thank you.

If it’s recent and playing on an average top 100-ish station, I’d call it * The Sweet Escape* by Gwen Stefani.

Woo-Hoo! I’ve never answered something right here on the dope - until now! Watch out world! heh.

Also, some of her other songs are pretty interesting…just saying.

I know the question has been answered, but there’s also “Woo Hoo” by the 5.6.7.8’s.

Black Horse & Cherry Tree was what I thought of immediately.

That’s What’s NEW, Pussycat? I love that song.

:smack: Of course. Sorry, I think I confused the title with Woody Allen’s What’s Up, Tiger Lily?, which also came out roughly in the same time period.

I’m glad the OP has apparently been answered. But for the benefit of those who just can’t get enough woo-hoo-ing, there’s the "whooo-hoo!"s in Blur’s “Song 2”.

Whew.

How about the original “woo Hoo” by the Rockateens (1959)?

Well, Woody also wrote the movie What’s New, Pussycat. Not that he wanted to admit it after it came out, heavily tampered with. That’s why he made all his movies for and by himself afterward, starting with What’s Up, Tiger Lily?. (Yeah, I know he did Casino Royale after that, but that was just the last straw.)
