What song was #1 the day you were born?

Nov. 4, 1968: Hey Jude, by the Beatles (of course).
Nov. 4, 1986: True Colors, by Cyndi Lauper (which I like, so shut up! :))

Not bad; my office-mate’s “life theme” is The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, by Roberta Flack. When I told him that, he just laid his head down on his desk in despair.

“Going to the Chapel” by The Dixiecups.

June 9, 1964

the U.S. No.1 on the 22nd September 1976 was… Play That Funky Music by Wild Cherry

When I became an adult:
the U.S. No.1 on the 22nd September 1994 was… I’ll Make Love to You by Boyz II Men

We share a birthday - but I was born one day earlier. MY birth song was better - “Fame” by David Bowie - but my “life theme” was just as bad as yours - “Dreamlover” by Mariah $%*^! Carey. God I hate her music.

Really?!? They are different? WOW! I know that! I just flubbed it up. That sorta thing happens ya know?

Me, too! (June 14, 1964)
Saint Zero’s was People Got To Be Free, by The Rascals.
Chaos’ was My All, by Mariah Carey. ewwww! (May 25, 1998)
Destruction’s was Livin La Vida Loca by Ricky Martin. (June 28, 1999.)

I can sympathize. My second son was born the day before yours. He (of course) has the same #1 song.

I know, i was taking the mick i promise. I considered whether or not to use a smilie but decided against. Ah well.

Well, I tried it and what do ya know? My birthday is the last day before the US charts start, (12/31/54). So, assuming, that 1/1/55 will have the same #1 it is Let Me Go Lover, by Joan Weber. Never heard of it or her.

The U.S. No.1 on the 15th September 1972 was… Alone Again (Naturally) by Gilbert O’ Sullivan

The U.K. No.1 on the 15th September 1972 was… Mama Weer All Crazee Now by Slade

the U.S. No.1 on the 17th February
1968 was… Love is Blue by
Paul Mauriat

March 11, 1975:

In the U.S. it was “Have You Never Been Mellow,” by Olivia Newton-John

In the UK it was “If” by Telly Savalas (I had no idea he sang!)

For my husband (2/11/74):

In the U.S. it was “Love’s Theme” by The Love Unlimited Orchestra

In the UK it was “Tiger Feet” by Mud
Lucky us…

1980 Oct 18

“Another One Bites the Dusk” Queen

UK – “Don’t Stand So Close to Me” The Police

For October 14, 1980 my songs were~

*(US)-“Another One Bites the Dust” by Queen. I’ve always hated this song.

*(UK)“Don’t Stand So Close to Me” by The Police. The story of my life.

And for my life theme song…

:drumroll:

(UK)“Rollercoaster” by BWitched. Not so bad. Can listen to it without turning the station.

*(US)“I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” by Aerosmith. Kill me now. I hate this song.

My friend has Tainted Love by Soft Cell as her (UK) song. I could take that song. Of course it would just be another painful jab at my love life.

SterlingNorth, you apparently beat me to it. I don’t hate the '80s but I do hate most early '80s songs. They are so…uggh!

December 28, 1958. The Christmas Song by Alvin and the Chipmunks. sigh

That was in the US. In the UK it was It’s Only Make-Believe by Conway Twitty. I guess that’s a little better.

At least you have a song!! The US chart doesn’t go back far enough for mine!!

May 7th, 1953:

In the U. S., The Doggie In The Window by Patti Page.

In the U. K., I Believe by Frankie Laine

And when I turned eighteen, although it wasn’t #1, a hot new one on the charts was I’m Eighteen by Alice Cooper.

My mami and papi were groovin’ to “Theme from ‘Shaft’” by Issac Hayes the day I was conceived . .

“Alone Again (Naturally)” by Gilbert O’Sullivan was #1 on my b-day . . . :frowning:

My “Life Theme” is “Vision of Love” by Mariah Carey . . ah, how cute . . :stuck_out_tongue:

On my birthday, it was Neander and the Thals with “Hit the Mammoth” no, … but the charts don’t go back far enough for my natal day, so my “Life Song Day” (18th birthday) yields:

US ABC by the Jackson5
UK Spirit in the Sky by Norman Greenbaum

Let’s hear it for the Brits!!!

sickeningly, Mrs. PlanMan’s US Life Song is also by the Jackson5 I’ll be There, in the UK it was Band of Gold by Freda Payne

For PlanDaughter (US only)
birth: Maneater by Hall and Oates
life: Independent Woman Part 1 by Destiny’s Child

well, she is very independent
