2 hours? Let’s leave it open and just say biology.

Geology
Forestry, in the north western states of the US.
Not a broad subject to the people whom it does not matter. Quite fascinating (to me) and the people who care.
Horses
or if I’m being a geek Sci-Fi on TV
Raising pastured poultry.
Nope, sorry. However, I can tell you that if you only have a few days to spend, Disneyland is your girl. If you want to go somewhere for a week, Disney World is a good place (do not ask me how to see everything at Disney World in two days, it cannot be done).
Anything. As long you don’t care if the content makes any sense or is in anyway rooted in reality. I’ll just go stream of conciousness and start linking distantly related facts and anecdotes with stuff I just make up and a bunch of jokes.
If it has to be something coherent and informative, then it would be systems software and related subjects, cooking, boxing, tools, and my life.
There is no subject I love so well that I would choose to stand up in front of a group of strangers of any size without fear.
That said, if you are looking for a 2-hour presentation on the provisioning and implementation of complex call-flows and business-class features of HPBX systems using the Genband M6 platform, with bonus question period at the end, I’m your woman.
Rock N Roll.
Maybe photography.
That’s all I got.
mmm
I’ve got a few. Movies, gaming, sci-fi/fantasy literature, mythology, certain eras of history and weight loss. Although my 2-hour ‘lecture’ would probably be half-lecture, half Q&A session. I have a lot of trouble monopolizing a silent room. I need input from others to maintain any residual aura of being interesting.
I can’t do it on demand but I have hundreds of unusual stories from the area where I grew up in rural Louisiana. They basically sound like the St. Olaf stories that Rose on the Golden Girls used to tell but they are true and entertaining if I prune them just the right way. I have gotten a receptive (and heavily liquored up) audience before from more normal places and seamlessly spun one right into another for a very long time until until this whole bizarro-land was created. I usually just get open mouth stares or dirty looks from them though.
I could talk about weird medical cases & research all day. It’s not weird that people have thought about studying some of this stuff, it is just weird that people/institutions have actually funded this stuff. Here is a good compilation of some of this stuff
Animals, the latest news in science, and combining the two, the latest news in zoology.
Australian history after settlement, specifically Sydney history. Even better if the lecture is a walking tour!
Beer and liquor, indie music, poetry (post- and modern), distance running, existentialism (though I may find it more effective to not take up my whole 2 hours on this one), and the evolution of the hipster.
I once gave an hour lecture on Mark Twain and his use of realism. I could fill another hour speaking about him.
I could easily talk for a couple of hours about the differences and similarities of UK and US law and have lots of material to spare. I could also fill two hours about the social differences as well.
There are a few topics that I have to stop myself from discussing because I tend to take over the conversation - law is one of them!
The tsunami and reconstruction work in Thailand. I have in fact given this talk several times to raise money. I have to hold back to fit it into an hour.
Be a teacher long enough, and you can fill up two hours with anything.
Right now I’ve been running workshops on development planning and participatory approaches. I could easilt put together a lecture on why China is weaker than you’d think, the basic theories and techniques of different cuisines around the world, the fascinating history and cultures of West/Central Africa, why your resume isn’t working, why microfinance is over hyped, and the recent emergence of the female gaze in modern music vdeos.
Various Biblical-Christian topics. I could definitely go on about the basics- the Trinity, the Deity & Humanity of Jesus, the Atoning nature of His death, His Resurrection, Ascension & Return. I could fill two hour alone on End-Times prophecy from various interpretations.
The Great Conspiracy Theory from the 1776 Illuminati till today, focusing on the CFR & Trilaterals. I could also throw in pre-Illuminati stuff about the Gnostics, the Templars, even the fabricated cult of Nimrod-Semiramis-Tammuz.
My intense fear of public speaking.
