From my perspective, I have years of public speaking, performing in a band, and business leadership. Basically, I could talk forever about pretty much anything (for better or worse ;)). However, my main area job is facilitating a company leadership team and board through strategic discussions - getting them (or in the case of my company, us) to see the need to make a decision about a specific issue, get the decision agreed to and resources allocated. In that case, I am doing my job if I get in front of folks and get them to do the bulk of the talking.
