So far they are testing out:
“He’s had an affair.”
“He doesn’t know condoms prevent AIDS.”
“He’s too beholden to lobbyists.”
“He wants a hundred years of war in Iraq”
I am sure they’ll trot out the POW horse again too.
Will any work with either the middle or with exciting the base? Any other tactics that they may try? Other than, y’know, actually discussing issues and contrasts between them on things like Iraq and stuff, which of course will not be a focus.
There’s already a thread about this, you know. I’m not sure why you think a parody is necessary.
There’s a thread on the taken-for-granted-Republicans-will-smear-Obama issue, but not on the opposite side, where it’s happening as well.
Which Democrats accused him of having an affair? I know the news did, but it seems like that is just SOP for the news media and nothing to do with the Democratic party. Most of the rest are not tactics, they are just facts. What;s the POW horse? The vicious attacks on McCain have usually been from the right. W and his cronies even push-polled in SC in 2000 accusing McCain of havin an illegitamite black child.
I expect the Obama/McCain election to be one of the cleanest in history in terms of the campaigns themselves. Of course the 527s will be out in force.
Rather the opposite. The claims apparently came from two ex-staffers, who presumably were Republicans.
Hm, I did miss that…my apologies!
