What the *fuck*?

I seriously have no words to express how I felt reading this. Literally sick with the injustice of it. 2 American doctors in a fucking fully-stocked hospital setting couldn’t treat three kids?

Oh, but they could fix the father’s flat tire, so it’s all fucking peachy, right?

So are they allowed to fix god-damned Nissans but not kids? No, it wasn’t life-threatening, but…jesus.

I’m sorry, don’t doctors (at least in the US) take an oath when the become doctors to provide care and comfort when they can?

I hope those two ‘doctors’ rot in hell.

Yep, the Hippocratic oath.

Bastards. Fucking BASTARDS. They’re KIDS.

Oh god, FUCK IT ALL!!!

This is my favorite part! Haven’t we been doing just about all that we can since the early 90 to make sure that they have no infrastructure?

Apparently, the one thing they still have in abundance in Iraq is bitter irony.

Who is this “we” that you speak of? The sanctions were imposed by the U.N., not unilaterally by the U.S. Also, Saddam had been the one looting Iraqi resources for his military, and himself, to the detriment of the Iraqi people.

Of course they had no responsibility to treat the kids. But they should have treated them anyway. We’re not talking about expensive skin grafts. Clean the wounds, bandages, maybe some antibiotics and something for the pain.

If we care about the Iraqi people (and I do not think that we do), then turning away three burned children simply because we were not required to help is sending a vey bad message.

I think the point is that anyone should try to help people in this situation…

It’s just really sad. What fuckers.

Jesus. What fucking assholes.

If that isn’t sarcasm, then I’m just lost for words…

No pun intended?
And I agree. Helping them out would have cost them about a half-hour and five bucks.

I do not, however, blame the military.

I blame the doctors. From my experience, an awful lot of doctors are like this. Too many, in fact. They’re just as bad as lawyers, but manage to keep it under wraps.

Well, you know what I mean.

Yes, they did so have a responsibility. They’re doctors, and they are required to care for people who need help. What kind men can look at suffering children and refuse to help?

I’m humiliated that those scum are wearing the uniform of my country.

I hope they’re brought up on charges. My god, these are little KIDS.

Not likely.

Well, how could he not love Americans? We helped him change his tire.

And he, like his countrymen, has a LOT of experience at smiling big and spouting happy nonsense whenever the musclemen ruling his country decide to take a dump on him.

New boss is looking a lot like the old boss…

last time i checked we were still in the UN

So much for winning their hearts and minds…

Ah, I think they were close because they took the Hypocritic oath.

Pigfuckers. Not only was that absolutely the immoral thing to do, but it puts a political face on things that’s going to be bad for all of us.

Yes, and I could very well be wrong, but I got the feeling that by “we”, Binarydrone meant the U.S. specifically. (And possibly, GWB in particular  )

Anyway, since is the Pit, I’ll ask another question. Why is everyone apparently giving a pass to the father in question, who has two wives and fourteen children he rather obviously cannot provide adequate care for? Just because he has a different culture/religion?

His very young kids were playing in the street  with fire  and lighting bags of explosives

And yet, it is somehow OUR fault, however you define we/our.

milroyj, your last comments are, without exception, the coldest words I have ever read here.

If thats the coldest words you’ve read Zoe, check out the alligator thread.

I don’t think that’s correct.

Don’t get me wrong, I agree that they should have helped. There was no reason NOT to help. Morally, anyway. Not legally, though.
