they’ve been sitting in my room and it’s probably been a couple months since I opened it
but I looked at it today and there’s this weird brown sticky stuff over the sames and and this white stuff
wtf is this mold or something
how did it grow onto my nes games (and only on the 2nd shelf; the first and third shelves are ok

Honestly, it looks like someone dumped a bunch of crap all over your games. You might not have opened that box in a few months, but someone did.

My first guess going by the pictures would be mold, but it might depend on how exactly the games were kept (temperature and humidity of the room, condition of the container, etc.).
It doesn’t smell like cat pee, does it?
