I take it back about giving away this blanket. I curled up under it on the couch this weekend and it’s absolutely wonderful - I see why you guys like them so much!
Those good old blankets are Baby Morgan blankets, no you are not neurotic, am looking for grandbabies. will post when I find the webpage…

I have been looking for a king size in blue to replace my ratty old full-queen size thermal hypoallergenic acrylic satin edged blanket…it seems like a never ending search!!
Did anyone buy the Linen Company Westport blanket (box of 8) for $108.00 as posted earlier? Are they the right blankets??? I tried to contact the company via email and phone with no response but a recording on the phone. I am hesitant to purchase if not the real thing. I already have buyers for the extras so I’m not worried about being stuck with too many ( I plan to hoard a few for me!!)
I have been searching on ebay too…
Any help would be appreciated on different searches that have worked for others. I mentioned this blanket at work and found at least 5 people that have also been wondering how to locate one.
So glad I found this thread to know that other people are looking for this blanket…
Thanks!!
Jeeze… that fact that this thread i still going proves there’s a demand!
Anyone wanna get together and open a blanket factory?
I wanted the same blanket since mine finally wore out. I found them in England!
I can not tell you what it has meant to me to find this thread this morning. I had no idea that i was not alone. I literally thought i just had some bizarre obsession over these old blankets.
I’ve been searching for a replacement blanket for a decade now. I check in any store i go into, open the packaging, feel inside, and am disappointed.
The original posting description about freaking over the blanket is so on point. I’m with everyone else who said that they just don’t sleep well without it. I brought my blanket to europe with me on vacation and the maid folded it and put it into a chair and tucked it under the desk, which i didn’t realize. i scoured the hotel room and couldn’t find it and ended up causing an incident at the front desk demanding it be returned. ended up having to buy them flowers when the maid finally indicated it was in the chair.
when i later moved to europe, i washed the blanket and the W&D ate it all up, it came out 1/2 as thick as it went in. i sewed the silk back on and kept using it.
I’m really ready for a new one, but this thread has me a bit sad. no one seems content with what they’ve found. and anyone that is happy found an “only one” source that i can’t go to.
That’s my current one. take pity, if you find a new one, let me know.
I seriously never knew so many other people had to rub the silk to fall asleep. This was incredible.
I just bought some of those blankets at Blair.com. I hate really heavy blankets so I’m hoping it first shows up and it’s as I imagine it to be. We will see!
Here’s an ebay store that specalizes in them! MY BELLA'S TREASURES | eBay Stores I’m still looking for a blue one for my 5 year old autistic son. He’s having a bunch of surgeries for his stomach and mouth and he cries because his blue rubbie is in tathers. If you find one, please email me. Jackiethepeapod@gmail.com
Woke up this morning to find that my blanket was losing another satin edge, and a series of confoundingly fruitless searches for a replacement led me here.
I’ve been using this one since moving back in to care for my dad a few years ago; I’d gotten a kick out of it being the same type I’d had as a child and nicknamed “Favoritie” with my mom. Or would it be “Favoritey”? This is literally the first time I’ve ever written its name.
Mom passed away in 2010, and dad joined her earlier this month. I’ve been working on " letting go" a lot lately, so i think I’ll repair and retire “Favoritie 2” now that I know how difficult finding a replacement will be. Thank you all so much for this thread, especially for letting me know I’m not alone. I hope we all find what we’re looking for.
Is this the type of blanket everyone is looking for? Has anyone confirmed who manufactured this blanket and what it’s called?

That’s totally the blanket I’m looking for… my second one now has a dog sized piece missing out of it… Has anyone ordered from the Vermont company or the towelsrus in the UK that wants to give a review?
The one I’m looking for (king size) was purchased at JC Penny ~ 1997 or 1998. The blanket material is the same, it has the waffle stitching, the trim is more nylon than satin, and the trim is on all 4 edges.
I didn’t know this thread was still going on. I think I have a blue acrylic blanket at home. I hate it. If someone wants it I will ship it to them. All they have to pay me for is postage. I’ll check tonight or tomorrow.
Those blankets at Blair look REALLY close.
Well, I found it, if anyone wants it. PM me and let me know.
