What the heck is Glenfiddich IPA??

Saw in liquor store. Didn’t have time to investigate.

If I had to guess, it’s an IPA aged in a Glenfiddich barrel.

Edit: I got it backwards. It’s Glenfiddich, aged in barrels that were used to age craft beers…so it’s going to taste like Glenfiddich with a bitter beer taste?? And here I didn’t think I could like whisky less.

Why would you want to ruin good Scotch like that? This IPA craze has gotten way out of hand.

Sounds a lot like Jameson’s Caskmates, which is pretty good.

Actually, I agree with you there. I’m just cynical enough that I’m sure putting “IPA” in the name is simply a way to cash in in the current hop-head mania in the craft beer world.

Yeah Jameson has both an IPA and stout Caskmates. They’re both pretty good, though I didn’t try them side by side and I didn’t notice any overwhelming taste. The taste of whiskey is much stronger.

Whisky should have peat, not hops!
