First off, I’m not as active as I should be. I know that, and I’m working on it. I’ve been biking 1.6 miles (I measured it today) about four times a week after work. It’s not much, but it’s a start.
Today, we did some work around the house, planting some flowers and grocery shopping. I bought one of those big storage tubs to store some of my yarn. (Long story, but basically, I will never ever have to buy yarn again.)
It’s sorted by color, and I was able to put all my red shades of yarn in this tub and store it back in the attic. So I toss down the garbage bags that I had originally stored the yarn in down to my daughter. She emptied it into the tub for me, then helped me push the tub up into the attic. She’s standing in the garage, and I’m on the pull down ladder to the attic. With a nice shove from her, I get the tub up in the attic, then climb down the ladder.
Ouch.
My left knee hurts.
The only thing I can think of is that since the steps on the ladder were not very wide, I had to stand with my feet sideways on the steps. I suppose this could have twisted my knee somehow, but I wasn’t in that position for very long.
It hurts when I extend the knee and then when I bend it, but once it’s in the position I’ve moved it to it doesn’t hurt. Walking doesn’t seem a problem.
I’m sure I’ll be fine in the morning, and I did ice it tonight, although it doesn’t seem to have done much good.
But what the heck did I do to it?
