I wish the OP would check back in. I’m interested in the outcome.
It’s not getting better, and it’s not getting worse. It’s not spreading, or getting more painful.
I’ve been using some moisturizer that my wife had lying around, but I’m not sure if it’s having any effect.
I’m somewhat reassured by the fact that it isn’t getting worse, but I’m going to make an appointment with a doctor today.
Thanks again for all the advice!

Thanks for the update. I’ve been thinking about you. Hope you can get some answers.
I just went to the doctor today because for the last two weeks I’ve had little pimple-like spots showing up on my hands. They dry up and don’t go away. They don’t itch. Just reddish spots all over my hands. I noticed over the weekend that they were now on my palms. My skin has also been very dry this winter.
The doctor said she did not know what was causing it. It could be contact dermatitis but I can’t think of anything different I’ve been in contact with over the last couple weeks. She gave me a shot of steroids and a referral to a dermatologist if there is no improvement in a couple weeks. I’ve been using a heavy duty hand cream - Norwegian formula for fishermen - but she said to try some hydrocortisone cream even if it doesn’t itch, so I did that tonight.
I’m curious what your doctor will say. I’m glad I’m not alone in having a weird hand thing!
