Trump to Guam Governor: North Korea Threats Will Boost Tourism ‘Tenfold’
That’s all it boils down to. Trump doesn’t mind when bad press leads to Tourism dollars.
Ha ha. What a kidder. Let’s all do the fallout dance.

It’s unsurprising to me that you regard logic with fear and distrust; this is a natural reaction to any foreign, mysterious subject.
What does “working,” mean, in this context? What would you say the measurable results would be of a tactic that worked?
Perhaps he should show the world what “a beautiful place” Guam is by going there himself. He’s on vacation now anyway and I bet they have nice golf courses on Guam.
Then maybe double-down by having the Trump organization build a hotel there. They’re going to need a place for all those tourists to stay, right?
Trump Ground Zero! Catchy!
Maybe according to fivethirtyeight.com Rasmussen isn’t all that great a poll, but they did show Loser Don’s approval rating up 5 points in the aftermath of his “fire & fury” insanity.
So now I’m wondering if the whole Venezuela thing is an attempt to goose his ratings up again. If he keeps this up maybe he can hit that magical 50% approval level. Who’s next? Canada? They have oil.
all it will take is for Kim to react to one of our ‘normal’ training exercises for Kim to ‘appear’ to have acted first - when he (Kim) will be able to say that he was reacting to the clear provocation of our Military (which has been one of his mainstays forever).
This is why you can’t ratchet up the threats with him.
Nice… I must remember this one.
No surprise there, Rasmussen always skews to the right.
Hmmm…would you mind posting the link to your massive outrage when Bill Clinton said the same thing 20+ years ago? Granted, not word for word, but the same exact message.
Or is this just recreational outrage because Trump said it and that’s enough reason for a whine?
Here’s Clinton’s statement.
Here’s Trump’s statement.
Clinton specified the use of an atomic bomb, Trump said any threat would be enough. Any threat could include verbal.
But I’m sure you knew that.

Gov, you got me bang to rights.
What you have here is a pissing competition between a bad hairdo who is a professional agitator vs a bad hairdo who knows how to use US bankruptcy laws.
So if DPNK land a nuke on Guam, the US launches fire & fury
If DPNRK land a nuke off the coast of Guam, the US … ?
If DPRK launch a nuke at Guam and miss, the US … ?
If DPRK launch a nuke aimed to miss Guam and do , the US … ?
If DPRK land a non-nuke ICBM off the coast of Guam the US … ?
If DPNRK land a non-nuke ICBM into international waters off Guam, the US … tweets?
Your bad hairdo simply hasn’t gamed this out in any detail that doesn’t fit on a tweet.
Wrong statement.
“I know of no one who seriously believes that the United States and [South Korea] would be defeated in a war of aggression by North Korea if they were to attack,” Clinton said. “And I made it as clear as I could that if they were to do that, they would pay a price so great that the nation would probably not survive as it is known today.”
Threats are not a war of aggression. Even an idiot like you would know that.
But you wouldn’t know it - you’re the Dope’s biggest snowflake, with an ignore list greater than Mick Jagger’s little black book.
Next time, link and/or quote the fucking statement you intend to misinterpret.
Clinton was still talking about a military attack. Notice the use of the word “war”.
Trump was talking about any threat.
So Trump makes these dire threats against North Korea and then…
TLDR version: The military is not gearing up for war. So that means Trump just made an empty threat. Some people have been saying NK needs to hear this kind of rhetoric. But if there’s nothing behind the threat it’s just bluster, sound and fury signifying nothing. And that makes future threats even weaker.
The wife spoke with her family back in Bangkok a couple of days ago. They’re extremely worried and asked how we’re coping. It seems the Thai news has us right on the very brink, with the first nuclear exchange poised to be fired any moment now. She told them the reality, that this isn’t occupying anyone’s mind at all here in Hawaii, and war does not really seem to be imminent.
It was in response to a reporters question. He said he wouldn’t rule out a military option.
I suppose you wish he’d lay out the boundaries we’d stick to no matter what. No military, no sanctions, no this, that…
Make it clear we’re not all that interested in that part of the world.
Dumbass. Had you taken even two seconds to try and understand what you obviously don’t, you’d see that sanctions on their oil would do more to hurt us here in the US and them even more. You see, we’re a major importer of their oil today and many in the big bad oil business don’t like that kind of talk as it would make oil more expensive worldwide. It would change the norm.
So in essence, the reality is the opposite of what you’re freaking out about when you say Trumps actions are to open up oil for him and Putin.
Not that a shred of facts matter to you.
I suppose a measurable result would be a nuclear free/missile free North Korea today. IE what we were told they’d do when we cut them a break I don’t know how many times before.
That kind of working.
Man, it was great when we had presidents who could speak clearly, and in complete sentences.
Now we get “fiwa and fuwy…and powah. better be careful Kimmy. Vanky, nappie time.”
