What they have in common...

Not what I had in mind, but there’s another B word that goes with all of them (in a way).

Nm

Bela.
Bela Fleck - American banjo player
Bela Lugosi - film vampire
Bela Bartok - composer

Well, if that’s not the answer, it’s better! I’m impressed anyway!

Bingo.

Bingo.

Not easy for me. Can you add an entry?

Regards,
Shodan

Isaac Newton
Clara Barton
Jimmy Buffett
Humphrey Bogart

Notable for standing on top of buildings?

Did Alexis Stewart stand on top of a building?

I was trying to work out something from Fortress of Solitude/Batcave/living on top of a pillar but Stewart is the wildcard, probably because I never heard of her before now.

Shodan

I have to expand this list a bit:

Songwriter George M. Cohan
British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli
Writer Truman Capote
General George Patton
Singer Ray Charles
St. Thomas More
Mohandas Gandhi

Batman
Superman
Simeon Stylites
Alexis Stewart
I had to look up Simeon Stylites, and still know almost nothing about him.

But… is the commonality related to their mothers?

Catcher Yogi Berra
Star Trek co-star James Doohan
***Separate Tables ***Oscar winner David Niven
Character actor Charles Durning

… might be.
Oh, all right, yes.

They all have mothers named Martha?

On the nosey!

I still have to expand this list a bti more!

Songwriter George M. Cohan
British Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli
Writer Truman Capote
General George Patton
Singer Ray Charles
St. Thomas More
Mohandas Gandhi
Ugandan dictator Idi Amin
King George VI of England
Gay activist Harvey Milk
Accused murderer Claus Von Bulow

There have been biographical movies about them, and the actors won Oscars for the role?

I have the impression that Barton was born on Christmas Day and it’s possible newton was too if you adjust the calendar properly . If so the others may have been too. Have to admit I know next to nothing about either Bogart or Buffett.

Correct.
