My daughter invited me for 5 days in France. She is visiting/working there with my SIL who was born there. Well, I thought…I have never been across the pond, so I scheduled 4 weeks there. I arrive 5/20/2014 in Barcelona. Leave 6/18/2014 from Manchester, UK. The only thing on my bucket list is the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao, Spain. I speak Spanish, so I would prefer to spend the majority of time in Spain, Portugal or Rome. I understand the French aren’t happy if you don’t speak French.
Other possibilities are Scotland, Ireland. Maybe a trip to Iceland.
You dopers are a worldly bunch. Please help me with some ideas. I prefer places where I won’t have a problem with the language. And it is a low budget trip. Not a lot of cash, but I am going cause I have never been and may never return. Help me find stuff to do for 4 weeks. The tickets are bought! Thank you!
