A buddy of mine is about to take a business trip to Raisting, Germany and I wanted to give him some good suggestions for stuff to see in the area. This will be his first trip to Germany, an d I know he’d like to see some medieval architecture, churches, castles etc – any in that part of Germany?

why yes, he’s in the satelite communications field
Right, the big satellite ground station is the only thing that Raisting is known for in Germany.
Off the top of my head:
Neuschwanstein castle - 75 km/1.5 hr drive
Munich (capital of Bavaria) - 60 km/1 hr drive
Augsburg (the Fuggers’ city) - 70 km/1.5 hr drive
Lots of picturesque towns in that are of Bavaria (nearer than the destinations mentioned above), but it’s not my area - better he asks a local colleague.
