Perfectly understandable. I always clean and eat what I shoot* and often bring home extra from hunters who can’t be bothered to clean their own birds (or pay to have it done).
*The one exception to this rule is the skeet. When hit they disintegrate into thousands of tiny pieces only suitable for soup, but one can boil those SOB’s for days and they won’t get tender. They’re fun to shoot, though.
