One of the actors has a Master of Fine Arts degree from Yale, and another character is played by a Juilliard-trained Shakespearian actor.
Relic Hunter?
We know it’s not the Anna Nicole show!
Is this a riddle or are you trying to ID it?
Can you give us an idea of the plot?
If it’s a riddle I’m going to guess Frasier
It could be Sex and the City. I know Chris Noth (aka “Mr. Big”) is a Yale Drama School grad, and I do believe that Kim “Samantha Jones” Cattrall is classically trained, though I don’t know if she went to Julliard.
Mork and Mindy?
X-Files?
Frasier? According to IMDB, David Hyde-Peirce has a degree from Yale (it appears to be a BA in theater, rather than an MFA) and Kelsey Grammar studied at Juilliard before performing some Shakespeare on Broadway.
Some interesting guesses…the show I’m thinking of…is similar to Frasier in that it was a very popular network show. However, the subject matter and setting of the show was vastly different from that of Frasier.
Star Trek. (TOS) Duh.
Seriously, “I got nothing.”
Well Voyager almost fits. Robert Picardo has a B.A. in drama from Yale, and Robert Duncan McNeill studied at Juilliard.
I was going to guess Perfect Strangers, because Bronson Pinchot went to Yale and Mark Linn-Baker is a Shakespearian actor, but unfortunately Mark has an M.F.A. from Yale, not Julliard.
There are just far too many Yale M.F.A.'s out there to narrow this down.
The Dukes of Hazzard
Sorrell Booke: Boss Hogg (aka Jefferson Davis Hogg), Yale, Master of Fine Arts
James Best: Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane, Juilliard trained Shakespearian actor
Shoot! I had guessed The Dukes of Hazzard, but I only looked up the educational backgrounds of Tom Wopat and John Schneider. I guess I should have looked further.
