what type of sk8board do you sk8 on?

my board is a:
Element (Element 4 lyfe baby!) Featherlight
Ti-Lite Trucks/ Grinds Kings(i change then whenever)
spitfire wheels

my board rulez!

My board rules as well. I put it away when it was time to learn how to spell, though.

Well, my last board (before I broke my teeth and decided to quit) was a Santa Cruz board with Tracker trucks and Sims wheels.

Been a long time though. Now I just play Tony Hawk Pro Skater.

Yes, but your spelling is abysmal!

About 10 gazillion years ago, I got a skateboard. It was one of those old, red boards, about a foot and a half long with metal wheels that maybe had ball bearings. I had it a week. I came flying to a corner, couldn’t turn (demon board had a mind of its own), and the board rocketed out from under me. Feet flying up in the air, my ass kissed the cement hard. Cracked my tailbone. Once I recovered enough to “stand,” I picked up the demon board and scurried home like some hooked-shaped creature. I could not stand up straight. For years I couldn’t sit through a double feature. The school nurse (Ms Rachet?) told me to sit up since I was showing everything (too embarassed to tell her I couldn’t - I was such a wuss).

When I came home after my tumble, I had dropped the board on the front lawn. The next morning it was gone. “Good” says my mom, “Someone stole it.” I think she tossed it herself, but I didn’t care. I was glad the demon thing was gone.

I skate on a vintage 1983 Powell Peralta Skull and Bones, which I’ve had since, well…uh, 1983.

It has some heavy ass Tracker Trucks and some big chubby Powell wheels in desperate need of replacing. The board is wide and flat. Pretty heavy and low too. It’s not good for that kickie flippy street skating style which I’m not good at anyway.

It’s really best suited for high speed on pavement, or big ramps. I’ve never been on ramps but always wanted to. Nowadays I mostly take it down the street to the mailbox and back.

Mine’s a Brian something-or-other with Independent trucks and itty bitty wheels. It’s really old and I need a new one. (I used to ride Vision and Santa Cruz boards–grew up in Santa Cruz county…it’s kinda a requirement you ride a SC board.)

Now I use mine mostly for moving furniture or something heavy like that (works really well for that).

Once in a while I ride around my middle school after hours. (Just for the record I’m a teacher there, not a student.)

An acme something-or-other from 1994 or so. Venture (I think) trucks, and while I forget the manufacturer of the wheels, I do remember their great name: Krieger’s Toothbrushes. The wheels have pics of toothbrushes on them. The boards graphics are of a weird captain-america-ey guy shooting a pistol towards the viewer.
