What was Immanual Kant’s paternal grandfather Richard Cant’s( a Scotsan)connection,if any, to the Hanseatic league? I remember reading that 17th centurty Scotsman had wandered out to Prussia and eastern Europe as traders/merchants and traded heavily (in fur?) in what was then Prussia.
