What was the Academy thinking : Good Will Hunting

Thanks ArchiveGuy but since I never seen Ordinary People I will have to take your word on the similarities.

The sole purpose of ‘Finding Forrester’ is the shot of Sean Connery saying ‘You’re the man now, dog.’ I haven’t seen the movie and probably never will, but that line alone has brought much happiness to my life.

Good Will Hunting was worth it just for the character’s explanation of why he doesn’t want to work for the NSA.

It is a great movie, if for no other reason than a math genius isn’t portrayed as a scrawny geek, but a bar brawling roughneck. It had good chemistry and was fun to watch for the most part.

Like it or Not

I did enjoy Will’s speech on why he is not going to join the N.S.A.

While not making my list of top 20 movies, I certainly enjoyed GWH.

I liked it. It seemed a bit manipulative for Gus Van Sant, but I still really enjoyed it.
