This was my first election, as I was a little over two years too young in 2000.
I dutifully voted in two local elections before voting in the 1988 Presidential election.
1972 here also. My very first time to vote was a presidential election. YAY!
On a side note, that was also the year GA lowered the legal drinking age to 18, which got raised back to 21 several years later. So, I got to vote and get legally drunk on the same day.
