What was your colonoscopy recovery like?

So how did it go?

Mine was mostly uneventful as expected. The only bad part was this doctor ordered the prep you get as a prescription. The last doctor gave instructions for the dosage of over the counter medicine dissolved in Gatorade. The Gatorade was much easier to get down. I was up very late finishing off the prep because it was so hard to get down.

Also had an endoscopy. I have a little bit of a fat lip and my tonsils are sore.

Had two. One (USA) knocked out with general anesthesia. Had to be driven home.

Second (UK) Nitrous Oxide at your disposal. And you could watch on the monitor! One final yoink and you can drive home.

Colonoscopy went really well! Apparently everything looked fine.

Prep wasn’t particularly difficult for me, as I routinely drink huge amounts in one sitting anyway. I opted for the liquid Suprep cocktail. The stuff was certainly effective…

I was definitely cleaned out by the end of the regimen.

The propofol did its job; all in all, I was in and out of the surgery center in less than two hours.

If you were like me did you eat an incredible amount of chicken wings immediately afterwards and then kinda regret it

Ha, all I’ve eaten today was mozzarella and pepperoni. Just sounded good… Plans for tomorrow are bacon and cheesy scrambled eggs for breakfast, and a bleu cheese stuffed burger for dinner.

There is a really good breakfast place near me. I had a gigantic omelet.
