What was your finest moment on the SDMB?

[sub]And hey, whaddaya know? That was my 1000th post.[/sub]

I made it to Threadspotting with the help of the Disembodied Santa Head (Of Death). That was quite fun.

Incidentally, the little bugger was very quiet this Yuletide. Batteries finally gave out. No one in the family is very keen on replacing them. (Budding Evil Genius has been warned of severe consequences-- involving pain, torture, and utter embarrassment in front of friends – should Mr. Kringle be suddenly resurrected.)

Kal

Your response made me laugh out loud! It was a classic.

The post I did that means the most to me is the one about Indian Hater Jackson.

My finest hour.

minty green vs. John Ashcroft. Most of the thread was lost in the Winter of Missed Content, but the opening rant is still here, and all four or five pages are still cached at Boardreader.

That was a great one, auRa – one of my favorites ever!

I peaked far too early, frankly. The battles and my ultimate Pyrrhic victory in the Ultimate Rochambo Fighting Arena about two months after I joined the list were, if I do say so myself, a masterpiece of comic writing.

As a close second, I’m particularly fond of my rendition of Straight Dope Newbie in Fenris’s Odes to Various Forums thread. Be glad the LonDope’s don’t take place at karaoke bars, or I’d likely be up there singing it…

So far my favorite ones are the one about the fridge without an ice maker, the Shadow over Who-Ville, and my pit rant against Richie Rich.

My best moments were all spent when I left the boards for a few months at the beginning of last year.

I had one disappear in the great board crash but Opal was good enough to have saved it in the Page O Funnies. Unfortunately, subsequent funny comments by CrankyAs and others no longer are there to accompany it.

I’m not sure that this url will put you right on it… you might have to scroll down several pages but it starts off with “I’m a closet shitter.”

Hey Mister, how’d you do that funny thing with your shit?

I think Cervaise’s Telemarketing Rant is a classic.

Every time I read it I get a big giggle out of it.

I’m fondest of this little quip, though this rant by Legomacer is the most paralyzingly funny thing I’ve ever read on SDMB.

The Perfect Master mentioning my post in this week’s column.
So many, many dud posts, and then this…a blessing!
