What were those things called?

Vague memory of the little red boxes at grocery stores that slides out coupons. Funnest toy a child could have

A google search on “Automatic Coupon Dispenser” turned up lots of hits and images.

Thanks, I hope I can find one for sale

“Were”? I still see them sometimes. And I wish I were young enough for those things to be a childhood memory…

Memory? Our stores still have them, I think. if not they only disappeared in the last few months.

I’ll stop by the store today & if they’re there I’ll get you a brand name.

Something like this?

Instant Coupon Machine. ActMedia brought them out in the early 90s. SmartSource seems to be the company which is primarily associated with them now.

Yeah, we don’t have them anymore at Meijer or Kroger in Michigan, but we did when I was a kid.

I’m only 32.

I was just thinking about these the other day. I remember when the grocery stores were full of them! Now there seem to be less than five in an entire store. The Kroger I work at has five at most and has a few traditional dispensers. Mom never seemed to pleased when I used to run up to her with my stash of automatic coupons.
