What will be the next big invention that will change our lives?
The first usable quantum computer.
They will be exponentially faster than even the fastest digital supercomputers. I think they will increase the pace of other promising technologies, such as nano-technology, fuel cells, and nuclear fusion reactors.
Methinks a cheap Real Doll is more along the lines of what Jason is looking for. 
As for me and my near future I will be looking forward to message board software that can limit the number of threads per day a single poster can start.
