I added Simpsons so I could talk about the Simpsons without all those red lines. I don’t like to capitalize my days. And the Hawaiian word wahine wasn’t in the dictionary.
If you search for “Firefox Dictionary” you should be able to find how to get this. Basically for XP it’s in a hidden file names presdict.dat in your Documents & Settings folder.
I did. If there is one complaint I have about XP is its search function. I clicked on the “search hidden folders” or whatever. But I still kept coming up blank. I’m normally pretty good with Windows but I tried searching several different sub-directories and couldn’t find it. My Firefox thinks recieved and received are both correct spellings due to a dumb mistake, and I don’t know how to fix it. :smack:
I know it’s an old thread I’m resurrecting, but I was curious if anyone ever started this thread before and I found it by searching.
I guess Firefox has changed the suggested word since 2007. Anyone remember what it was? The word it’s suggesting in its place now is Buckingham.
Words I’ve added:
micronutrients polysaccharide bioavailable glycemic Burley Maltodextrin thermogenesis maltodextrin glutamine igniter falafel ethnicities Montclair bioavailability taskbar
If you’ve added words to your Firefox dictionary and you’d like to see what they are, you can follow he directions in the link below (and skip the part about deleting a word):
Just for the hell of it, I copy and paste Tengu’s list to see if any words have been added by the folks at Mozilla and no longer needed to be added individually. The following are now words by default:
cripes Manga Cyber Everything’s blonde manga Gaiman chewable asshole anime Cthulhu syllabary Simpsons anime undead LiveJournal Firefox’s Emoticon flirty
