In the context of The Sermon on the Mount, Jesus’ faithfulness as a Jew, and his belief, re-stated in the Sermon, in the Divine Authority of Torah, there is no reason to believe he had any problem with the harshness of Divine Judgments towards Sodom & the other cities, the Deluge, or the God-ordained slaughters of the Conquest, or with the just application of the capital penalties of Torah in the context of their time & place. All his quotes there are talking about personal responses to insults & indignities & offenses- and are within the context of both Torah Law & Roman authorities over their occupied subjects.

And the OP’s question is, “What would Jesus do?”

Jesus tells you what he’d do: He’d love his enemies and he’d pray for anyone who persecutes him.

He begins his Sermon on the Mount by stating that he’s there to affirm the Law and not abolish it. However the sermon itself folowing that is full of “You have heard x, but I say unto you y,” and the “y” is pretty much all about grace and peace toward all, including enemies. As to the final Judgment, that’s not really addressed here, but I presume the OP is wanting to know WWJD in this life.

This idea that I’m supposed to love the guy who hits me up side the head as personal insult but I get to kill the guy who hits me up side the head in a war is just silly. The two are irreconcilable, and it’s pretty clear to me, at least, what Jesus would do.

I can’t see him pulling the Nuke trigger on Sodom and Gomorrah at the end of the Sermon on the Mount or firing his AK47 in war.

I was amazed at how well preserved the sites were and in the same location as the bible stated. The cities and inhabitants were reduced to ash. The sulfur balls were embedded in the ash so they had to rain down on the city from above. I have heard of asteroid showers but not sulfur ball showers. It was an interesting documentary.

That sounds more like volcanic activity (?)
