What would you collect if you could?

Fairies. Live ones.

And not as if they were toys. In my perfect world, I woudl have a colony of fairies living in my yard. Dragons too.

Sigh…

I would collect…

Dragons (like statues etc… real ones too if I could)
Highlander stuff (like all the seasons on video… the swords used in the shows and movies)
Porcelain Dolls (oh wait I already have like a dozen of these…)
Actors (like Michael T Weiss David Boreanaz etc etc)

Compliments.

Souls. The competion if tough thou.

I have a sword collection, but if I could, I would have a much bigger and fancier sword collection.

MR

I’d collect old books. I have a very small collection, and it’s something I simply cannot afford.

Ok, assuming I had the funds, and a large enough garage, I’d collect cars, both classic and modern. Topping the list would be – a 1957 Mercedes 300SL Gullwing, a 1987 Ferarri F40, a 1963 Porsche 356SC, a 1963 Aston Martin DB4, a 1969 Ford GT40, and a 1961 AC Cobra.

Ashes of old lovers. First I’ll need a few lovers, but I’m sure that will be the easy part.

Suitcases full of gold ingots!

That’s it. That would drive all of my other activities quite nicely, thank you.

andygirl, I think I’m in love! (I know, I know, I always go for the unattainable women. :frowning: )

Books for sure, the older the better.

I would love to add more to my book collection. Rare books, first editions, signed copies…

sigh

Every doll almost from the Franklin Mint

Titanic Dresses
Vintage clothing

All of the original Faberge Imperial Eggs owned by the Tsars. (I’d even get the ones owned by Lilibet Windsor)

Here’s one on e-bay I’ve been watching for AGES.

Granola LOLA or whatever…
my mother has 5 or six signed, first edition Nancy Drew books…
thought I’d let you know
(in other words… na-na-na-na-na-na hehehehehhe)

I would collect large denomination dollar bills. $1000, $10,000, Or that Million dollar bill that Mr. Burns had on the Simpsons. (And I wouldn’t give it to Castro either.)

Ya gotta collect em, cause they sure are hard to spend. It would be fun bringing a $1000 bill to the local Stop&Go to buy a soda with…“Sorry, it’s the smallest bill I have.” As doofus clerk eyes bug out…

I would … and I do … collect computers. I have tons of fun machines !>… some are new and shiny … some are old and funky … but I love them all!!!

If I could collect anything … hmm … I might choose the skulls of famous people … or perhaps merely the skulls of powerful warriors and inovative scientists.

I can’t believe this thread is still alive after YOU posted. [sub]mumble, mumble, threadkiller, mumble…[/sub]

Have you looked on Ebay for these? There is a goodly variety under currency (or just put 1000 into search). They still go for about face-value, though. Think the Burns bill was a Trillion, too. How else do you think they bought off Janet Reno? :stuck_out_tongue:

Books, oh God yes, as it is I can barely afford new books in hardback (doesn’t it suck to have to wait for the paperback), so this will have to wait.

I’m also totally in love with antique kitchen equipment of all sorts. That’s more in my range, but I’m too lazy to get up at 6 am to scour the flea markets. We have also run out of room for all of my new kitchen equipment, so this will also have to wait until I am rich enough to have two kitchens. One will be the musuem kitchen…I may even commission a wax replica of myself to place in said kitchen. One with posable arms and legs. Imagine the fun I’ll have dressing myself in period costumes! Yes, and I’ll also have to have a goodly supply of wax food…

:::deranged cackle::: If only I were rich enough to be truly eccentric.

Frida Kahlo paintings
and more DVD movies.

I love old phones, the kind with a separate ear piece, and maybe a crank to ring the operator.

I had one once, and study every one I run across, but most are either way too expensive, or turned into junk with stupid conversions, such as cutting a hole for pushbuttons.

I’d love to afford a bunch of the real things.
