I am pleased to be on here and I am looking for a bit of advice and pose the question “What would you Do ?” an Ebay issue.
Back in september this year I bought an expensive Speaker and Amp system for my mobile Disco costing £139.99. I had to open a case as the company were not going to replace the system because When it arrived I wasn’t happy about the condition it was in and finally after 2 or 3 phone calls I spoke to a lady who arranged to have it re-collected and exchanged at no further cost to me.
Meanwhile I had to cancel my original order and close the resolution case and i was issued a full refund even though it was a straight direct swap. I never noticed untill about two weeks after when i was going through my paypal account that this had happened.
I think the confusion occurred as it was two different people i spoke to and cross wires on their part.
One person says get in touch and pay it back and another says keep your mouth shut its their error…What would you do ?
Welcome to the SDMB, spooky1973. The General Questions forum is for questions with factual answers. Questions asking opinions and advice belong in the In My Humble Opinion forum. I will move this thread there for you.

I would pay. I don’t believe in karma that truly evens things out, but I do think that doing the right thing gives you a more positive outlook in life and makes you more receptive to noticing the good things that happen to you.
I’m confused here. Did you actually think there were going to be people who would encourage you to keep money that should have been paid to the company?
You received the product you ordered. Do what’s right and pay. Honestly, I can’t believe you actually are seeking advice on this? Doesn’t anyone live by the golden rule any more? This is a basic social contract.
Wouldn’t you be screaming bloody murder if you paid for the goods and never received them? Thought so. Pay your bill.
