What would you do to a 3-time hijacker?

The guy’s clearly not firing on all cylinders. He once hijacked a plane flying to Paris to a *different Paris airport. * A long history of mental illness, specifically schizophrenia.

He’s never hurt anybody. He’s apparently never had a real weapon, just pretended to. Nevertheless, his actions demonstrate premeditation, not some kind of sudden psychological break.

You are the judge. Is anything less than a life sentence possible? If you would impose less than a life sentence. what criteria would it take to convince you that he was safe and ready to be released?
