I’d rather be in IRAQ right now serving my country than dealing with this shit.
But more than likely tomorrow will come and they’ll act like they don’t know wtf I’m talking about. And I’ll ahve another night at work worring about my ass than my clients…
It’s not like I worry about what the hell they’re doing all day… their private life… what theire hobbies are…whatever
Ok, Thaidog, I don’t know you and I don’t know your situation.
When I opened this thread I’d hoped I’d see a situation where I might have some idea what I might do, perhaps give advice or just go ‘wow that guy’s got problems’.
But, upon reading it, well… I’ve got NO idea what your problem is, so of course I can’t say what I’d do. And the vast number of posts with no informational content… well…
What would I do? RELAX! Geez!
You still haven’t given anyone anyhthing to go on. If misery loves company then fine…I recently got royally fuc— by my company and there is precious little I can do about it. I consulted attorneys and the upshot was, “Yeah…you got screwed but you can’t prove it as far as a court is concerned.”
Am I bitter? Hell yeah! Is there a damn thing I can do about it? Nope…at least not revenge wise. I can wallow in it or I can get on with my life and just hope karma catches-up with the bastards.
Your posts so far seem to convey a similar anger. You’ve still given no details so it is hard to give advice. Research company policy (what they have written), research legal regulations (you mentioned OSHA as if they might have something to do with all this), research employment law in your state, etc.
You may need some help. Legal counsel is your best bet but there are numerous not-for-profit organizations out there that might help as well. Seek them out.
Hey… it’s like I said I DONT want to sue them… I’ve been in even worse abusive situations than this and said nothing… but this shit is getting old.
Sorry people… I just needed to vent.
And its not like I’m not a fair business person… i don’t care if I even like you… you know how to work and I’ll make sure you get paid too. But it’s like I’m fighting everybody every set of the way.
The problem is that I planned this thing back a long time ago… tons of time and money… by myself and with the help of a few great friends who probablt wish they did not even know me now…
To bad… I’m still friends with them …no matter
I’ll try to relax now.
Consult an attorney.
An initial consultation is relatively cheap if not outright free (you can determine which with a simple call).
An attorney will advise you how to proceed. If legal action is possible (that is to say has a chanc eof success) they will let you know. Even if they tell you the courts can’t help they will probably tell you how to best cover your ass. They may even tell you how to build a case for yourself that doesn’t currently exist so in the future you might use the courts for a remedy.
Depending on the attorney your cost might be anywhere from free to a few hundred dollars (assuming you don’t go for Johnny Cochrane). It’s up to you to decide how much faith you have in your issue and what you might be willing to spend to explore your options.
At a guess it woudl seem even a few hundred dollars might be well spent in your case. Even if only to tell you that you’re screwed…lousy as that is…you can stop dwelling on your anger and start focusing on your future. Of course…you might have a cause of action and make out like a bandit…either way it would seem you’d be better off.
