Reminds me of a kind of similar incident I ran into a few years ago. Here in Phoenix (actually Tempe) there used to be a popular local band called The Refreshments. They got some fairly decent national airplay from their CD “Fizzy Fuzzy Big and Buzzy” and also did the theme song for the Fox “King of the Hill” show.
Anyway, one of their songs from that album had the line, “We could both wear ripped up clothes and pretend that we were Dead Hot Workshop,” a reference to another Tempe band that got (less) national exposure.
So about three years ago, I’m in a bar in Chicago after working a trade show, and this guy walks by wearing a pair of shredded jeans. I overheard one of the girls at the table behind me say, “That guy is SO Dead Hot Workshop.”
I was stunned. Then I was appalled. Then I was drunk and obsessed about it to the bartender for a while. Then I don’t remember what I was. [/hijack]
I sense a diabolical plot unfolding here …
Already, the mod known as Eutychus55 has enslaved trillions upon the SDMB to believe utterly in his good-guy role. Now, his base of operations secure, his adoring fans posturing at his feet, he deigns to spread his web of influence further.
He admits to “riding the wave”.

Who is this “What” person, and why is he a “Euty”?
