I don’t have the ‘scientific’ answer to print in here… But how will a cloth mask stop a virus, if the mask doesn’t stop other molecules??? Masks of this sort do not stop ‘air contaminants’. They are for solid particles. ( moisture & dust )… Ask ANY honest nurse or doctor… or just contact OSHA. ( I am a trained “Master Journeyman Painter”, and was trained on masks by OSHA years ago. Try spray painting a car ( I have).,… Try a ‘covid’ mask, and see how long you will last inside a spray booth. Paint overspray you see with your eyes.
You compared molecule sizes without actually presenting any sizes. I understand that viruses are vastly smaller than bacteria, which are significantly smaller than eukaryote cells. But they’re still significantly large strands of RNA wadded up into a ball, right? And like I said, I have no idea how to determine the size of Strecker aldehydes (or whatever the meaty smoky products of the Maillard reaction are). Is it true, or untrue, that these are “much bigger than a [100 nm] virus”?
And isn’t the whole discussion of virus size vs mask pore size a strawman? I never heard a virologist claim that masks could filter out virus molecules. But I occasionally accidentally spray some spittle when I talk. I’ve never sprayed spittle through a mask. Do you? Is it conceivable that germs could be transmitted via spittle?
If, as you say, masks block spit during a surgical operation, why would they not block spit during a conversation?
For starters, a virus isn’t a molecule. If you can’t even get basic facts like that right, you maybe ought to stay out of the discussion until you’ve had a chance to educate yourself (hint: Any source that says that a virus is a molecule isn’t educational).

But you made scientific claims, and you quoted actual people. I’m asking you to back them up. Otherwise your post is just some just a list of rather implausible claims on an internet forum. If any of the claims are true, I’d appreciate a link. Until the links are provided, no rational person will accept anything you’ve claimed.

When my housemates all had covid, i wore an N95 in shared spaces of the house - generally the kitchen. I did actually find cooking difficult because i couldn’t smell the food with the mask on. So no, i’m guessing i also would not smell steak at a restaurant. By masking carefully and keeping my distance i managed to stay negative throughout. (Knock wood)
Back to the OP, I’m intrigued by the sewage statistics linked above. Up to now i’ve been going by the deaths in my state. For political reasons the case reports are just not trustworthy. But causes of death are more reliably tracked.

By not providing a source for “Dr. Fauci’s own words” that you say is easy to find, you are essentially admitting that the source doesn’t exist. (Is it kosher for me to say that in this forum?)
Should we be equally skeptical about your other claims in post #16? Are any of them correct? Not asking for a Ph.D. dissertation, just some indication that you are being sincere. Like, for example, a cite. Any cite would be nice. Preferably not a cite from CNN or MSNBC or such, but from real news or real medical science.
Whatever he said or didn’t say, I’m pretty sure he didn’t manage to put three parentheses around his statement. I wonder what that means. Usually one set of parentheses are sufficient to make a parenthetical statement.
I have close friends in the professional medical business. ( Hospitals & health care ).
