I recently got a box of pocket watches at a garage sale, one of which I’ve never heard of before. Good looking thing, full-hunter style with hunting scenes on the front and back (I’ll get a picture up eventually if there are any responses).
On the face is some floral stuff and the words -
Ever Swiss
Shock resistant
17 Jewels
Swiss Made
Now, based on the number of Arabic language sites that come up when I Google this, I suspect it’s not in fact “Swiss Made” and wonder if this is a fake or just cheap.
I didn’t get ripped off, regardless of what it turns out to be, got a Colibri and Rapport with it, both of which are probably Chinese movements but I didn’t spend much for the three.
What is the question, you rightfully ask? Is “EverSwiss” a real company, is it in fact a Swiss made movement, is it worth the $30 I spent on it?*
I realize the last answer is, of course “it’s worth what someone will pay for it”
Ah, thanks!
Face does say “Swiss Made”, and it’s nearly identical to the one sweepkick linked. Different scenes, a dog chasing a stag on the front is what caught my eye, but the face is nearly the same.
Looks like it’s about as valuable as I thought (not very), but I did have that little bit of hope that I’d found something special. Oh well, at least it’s a good looking case.
